From Ideas to Impact: How TYE Transforms Students into Entrepreneurs

“Through TYE, I've learned that entrepreneurship isn't just about making money; it's about problem-solving, resilience, and innovation.”

As a high school student, the idea of launching a business can feel overwhelming. Where do you start? How do you turn an idea into something real? That's where TIE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) comes in. It's not just another business programit's an experience that transforms students into confident, capable entrepreneurs by giving us the tools, mentorship, and hands-on experience we need to bring our ideas to life.

Through TYE, I've learned that entrepreneurship isn't just about making money; it's about problem-solving, resilience, and innovation. We don't just sit through lecturewe brainstorm ideas, conduct market research, develop business plans, and practice pitching. The process is intense, but it pushes us to think critically, work as a team, and adapt to challenges. It's a crash course in the real world of business, and every step teaches us something new.

One of the biggest takeaways? Failure is part of success. Our first ideas often don't work out and that's okay. TYE teaches us to iterate, improve, and keep moving forward. Instead of seeing failure as an endpoint, we learn to use it as feedback, refining our ideas and making them stronger. Having access to mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs makes a huge difference. They provide guidance, real-world insights, and encouragement, helping us avoid common pitfalls and refine our business strategies.

Beyond business skills, TYE builds confidence and leadership. Pitching an idea in front of a large group is nerve-wracking, but by the end of the program, we've done it so many times that it starts to feel natural. The ability to communicate clearly, think on our feet, and turn an abstract idea into a tangible venture is something that extends far beyond entrepreneurshipit's a skill set that will benefit us in any career.

TYE has been a game-changer for me, and I know I'm not alone. It's an opportunity to explore creativity, take risks, and see the impact of our ideas in the real world. For any teen interested in business, problem-solving, or just learning how to think like an entrepreneur, this program is the perfect place to start.
