A letter from our Tie oregon president
As we continue our journey of supporting early-stage founders and investors, I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for the invaluable work we share.
Our mission to educate and grow aspiring entrepreneurs and knowledgeable investors is more crucial than ever. The landscape of innovation is evolving rapidly, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that those who dare to dream have the resources, guidance, and networks they need to succeed.
This year, we have focused on several key initiatives designed to enhance our educational offerings and foster deeper connections within our community. These include:
Programs and Bootcamps: We continue to educate and equip founders for their journey ahead through our various programs including the TiE Young Entrepreneurs Program, TiE University, TiE Woman, TiE XL Bootcamp, and Pitch Club. All aimed at equipping founders with the skills they need to navigate the complexities of starting and scaling a business.
Mentorship Programs: We continue to expand our mentorship network to connect early-stage founders with seasoned investors and successful entrepreneurs who can provide personalized guidance and support.
Investor Meetings: To bridge the gap between founders and potential investors, we have numerous Investor Meetings throughout the year, where qualified founders have a chance to pitch to our investors.
Pitch Competitions: This year we decided to host three pitch competitions. We feel that this gives the local founders a better chance to shine within their locality. We have completed two of these pitch competitions; Westside Pitch and Columbia River Pitch with a third pitch competition on Nov 20th in Clackamas County (Clackamas County Pitch).
All of you play a vital role in these efforts. Together, we can create a vibrant ecosystem where knowledge flows freely, and collaboration is the norm. I encourage you to engage with our initiatives, provide feedback, and share your insights as we continue to refine our approach.
Thank you for your dedication to nurturing the next generation of founders and investors. I look forward to continuing to work together to create an environment where innovation thrives.
